Song Premiere: Brad James’ “Heather Grows” prod. Chris Combs feat Ray Bonneville

Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Brad James’ “Heather Grows” from his upcoming release At Fellowship Hall (Horton Records), produced by Chris Combs.  “Heather Grows” is Brad James on electric guitar and sitar, and vocals, Andrea Kyle on Hammond organ and vocals, Kristin Ruyle on congas and percussion, Dylan Layton on bass, Nicholas Foster on drums, percussion and vibraphone, and Ray Bonneville on harmonica.

With ’70’s organ and guitar tones, “Heather Grows” will gently guide you through a complicated topic. Under the productive guidance of Chris Combs, Brad James tackles reality with a soulful groove on At Fellowship Hall, featuring Ray Bonneville!

This is just a little true story song about watching your friends struggle with addiction, and hoping that their kids can break that cycle of addiction and teen pregnancy. It didn’t work. The “baby on the way” in the third verse is now my twenty-something God daughter. — Brad James
