Americana Highways brings you this video premiere of Hollis Brown’s “Go For It” from their recent album Ozone Park. The album was produced by Adam Landry at Unity Gain Recording Studio in Fort Myers, FL. The band is Mike Montali on vocals and bass, with Adam Bock on keys and backing vocals, Jonathan Bonilla on guitar, and Andrew Zehnal on drums and other percussion.
New York based Hollis Brown dropped by the studio for a Music Human Session, and performed this badass rendition of “Go For It” for a video. The video production was Tony Delgadillo, Samantha Gannon, and Ben Spink on camerawork, with audio engineer Felipe Navarro Delgadillo. It was recorded at All Welcome Records (Inglewood, CA).
With Mike Montali dressed in camo at the mic, and floodlights like sunlight piercing the shadowed room, the band lays down a funky electric groove and the delivers a slice of the human condition. Hollis Brown identifies everyday anguish by groove. “Always striving for more: “The sun came up on the world today, We just want the moon.”
