The Deltaz “A Little Longer”
This is an acoustic version of our most popular song, requested by many of our fans.
Americana Highways brings you this premiere of the Deltaz’ song “A Little Longer” from their forthcoming album. It was produced, engineered and mixed by Andrija Tokic, and mastered by John Baldwin with cover photo by Morty Salt.
Musicians on “A Little Longer” are Ted Siegel on resonator guitar and backing vocals; John Siegel on washboard/percussion, organ, harmonica and vocals; and Brad Albin on upright bass.
As Ted tells us, “’A Little Longer’ became an anthem for our band. We’ve sung it all over the world in a million different ways, but there’s always been something special about stripping it down to just the washboard and the reso. It takes us back to the heart of the song and brings it to life in a whole new way.”
The Deltaz stripped away the electric production of this song from their studio version, and rebuilt this live version of the song on a foundation of resonator guitar, harmonica, washboard, and actual pots & pans. These guys know how to set up a groove that’s really quite a treat – sexy, moving, shadowy and real.
