Madam Radar “Carolina”
Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Madam Radar’s song “Carolina” from their forthcoming album Live at Antone’s. Live at Antone’s was produced by Madam Radar; mixed by Steve Chadie; and mastered by Alberto De Icaza.
“Carolina” is Violet Lea on bass and lead vocals; Kelly Green on guitar and vocals; Jace Cadle on rhythm guitar and vocals; and Kody Lee on drums and vocals.
As Violet Lea tells us about the song, “‘Carolina’ has been a fan favorite for a while now. It never fails to get people smiling and moving. I wrote it as a playful story about chasing adventure while trouble is chasing right behind you. It opens with these beautiful four-part harmonies that really showcase who we are as a band, then takes off on this wild ride filled with colorful characters, country-funk grooves, and soaring guitar work. It’s lighthearted, a little mischievous, and a lot of fun. As we get ready to celebrate ten years as Madam Radar and release our live album later this year, ‘Carolina’ feels like the perfect introduction to both new listeners and the energy we bring to the stage every night.”
Rich and straight from the heart, Madam Radar create complexity with a touch of jam band tone and lush harmonies. They have a memorable lively style that stays honest without being fanciful.
