Todd Adelman “This Rounds On Me”

Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Todd Adelman and The Woodsmen’s song “This Rounds on Me” from their forthcoming album, which is set for release on June 16 via Vib Recordings. The album was produced by Todd Adelman and The Woodsmen at The Woods in Glenford/Woodstock, New York.

“This Rounds On Me” is Todd Adelman on vocals and guitar; Danny Blume on guitar; Jeff Hill on bass; and John Valesio on drums.

As Todd tells us, “This was written on my way home from Kansas City after having spent time with some music buddies and playing some shows. One of my friends was going through a tough time. He has struggled with substance abuse and depression. This song came out quickly in 10 or 15 minutes and I didn’t change much at all from the original scribble. There is some irony which may or may not come across as “This Rounds on Me” insinuates alcohol consumption but in this case the main character is “on the wagon” at this point in time.”

This is a song about dropping old conflicts and just being real together. “This Rounds On Me” is a sincere song of friendship and openness, punctuated with violin and electric guitars and a touch of accordion. It’s a timely song, and very sorely needed right now:  “We’ll bury the hatchet and chew on the bone… lay down our worries… I’m singing for you…This round’s on me, you can get me next time.” Listen and feel healed.
