Lina Maxine “Feels Like Forever”
Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Lina Maxine’s song “Feels Like Forever” from her forthcoming EP, which is set for release later this year. It was produced and mixed by Dean Aladay and Lina Maxine; mixed by Dean Aladay and Parker Lyons, and mastered by Ste Kerry (Sleep Token).
“Feels Like Forever” is Lina Maxine on vocals and background vocals; Nick Sferlazza on bass; Jake Schott on drums; Parker Lyons on pedal steel; and Dean Aladay on acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin, dulcimer, keys, and vocals.
“Feels Like Forever” starts out with rain falling on the South Shore waves, which was recorded during a storm on Indian Wells Beach in New York. The sound creates a blend of Americana with notes of British indie rock in an upbeat ballad.
“Feels Like Forever” is about missing mum” says Dean Aladay. It’s also about being homesick while embarking on a path of personal growth on your own. A sweet and sorrowful song.
