It was mastered by Greg Calbi and Steve Fallone at Sterling Sound.
This EP is the final installation of Alaina’s EP trilogy, following on the heels of her releases Dawn and Day.

Heartache and heartbreak will absolutely haunt you with hazy memories, and this song vividly presents that feeling. Bright and easy going, the song oozes sorrowful nostalgia, with Alaina’s bright twangy vocals, with curving keys and guitar melodies, and a touch of banjo in the mix, in the relatable “every time I hear ‘Tangled Up in Blue’ I think of you.”
There’s a constant ache you feel when you walk around the city where you live, and everything reminds you of the one you loved and lost. I wrote this one after a particularly difficult breakup, when every Nashville staple and local corner seemed to wear his face. We had a funny, ongoing argument about who was better, Tom Waits or Bob Dylan. I argued for Waits, my ex for Dylan (and my cowriter Sam Gyllenhaal agreed). Even now, I can’t hear a Dylan song without thinking of him. In the studio, we tried to capture that ‘Golden Hour’ nostalgic feeling, and I think my producer Evan Redwine really nailed it. – Alaina
