The Jorgensens — “20 Years”
Americana Highways presents this video premiere of the Jorgensen’s song “20 Years,” from their recently released album Americana Soul.
“20 Years” is Kurt Jorgensen on lead vocals and guitar; Brianna Tagg-Jorgensen on backing vocals and 12 string guitar; Dylan McKinstry on acoustic guitar and mandolin; Jesse Heasly on upright bass; Jesse Heasly on upright bass; Andra Suchy on backing vocals; Matt Hertel on drums; and Jacqueline Ultan on cellos.
The video was filmed by Kyle Tagg, Brianna Tagg-Jorgensen; edited by Brianna Jorgensen; and produced by Brianna Tagg-Jorgensen, Kyle Tagg, and Kurt Jorgensen. Beautiful lakeside footage at sunsets, a beach and pine trees, with a couple silhouetted and playing guitar, as could float by in the twilight. What more could a person desire to look at? This video provides that comforting backdrop with acoustic strings and a highly relatable song about the long road we find ourselves on sometimes after decades of the wrong thing. “Head out on that highway and find myself some truth, no one said nothing about easy… so I head out on that highway to a long road I call home.”
“Twenty Years” is a song about reflecting. Have you ever lost your way? Facing life’s ups and downs have a way of leading us home. No one said nothin’ about easy. — The Jorgensens
