Lost on the Metro — “Lesser”
Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Lost on the Metro’s song “Lesser,” from their forthcoming EP Buried Bones, due to be available on February 10. The album was engineered by Jason McEntire of Sawhorse Studios and Brendan Falsetto of Stained Wood Recordings. It was mastered by Jason McEntire.
“Lesser” is songwriter David Morey on rhythm guitar, bass guitar, and vocals; Songwriter and lyricist Jilly Morey on lead vocals; and Josh Rathje on lead guitar. Roots rock with elements of dirty and restrained electric guitar tones, this slow side-winder explores imagery of loving and embracing people with all of their flaws, and letting all of the rest of it go.
“Lesser” is about loving others for who they are. Sometimes that might mean turning from any preconceived notions we learned at a young age to judge or criticize or tick off boxes for who belongs and who doesn’t. — Jilly Morley
