Blue Ox Music Festival celebrates its 9th year this summer at The Pines Music Park in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, running from Thursday, June 22 through Saturday night June 24, 2023.

As we’re rounding the corner to winter solstice, why not start daydreaming and planning next summer’s joy.  Blue Ox Music Festival will offer three full days of Americana, Bluegrass and Folk musical joy, camping, crafts, and family activities.  Fans attending the festival will reunite with old friends, make new connections, enjoy the overall camaraderie of the event, and likely suffer from too little sleep!

This year, Blue Ox welcomes to the main stage  three-time GRAMMY Award nominees and North Carolina Music Hall of Fame inductees, The Avett Brothers.

Continuing with tradition, for the 9th year running, Blue Ox will host the Sam Bush Band as well.  Fiddler and mandolinist Sam Bush has played with some of your favorites like Emmylou Harris,
Doc and Merle Watson and New Grass Revival.

The line-up is stellar already and includes The Avett Brothers, Sam Bush Band, Mike Gordon, Charley Crockett, The Infamous Stringdusters, Sierra Hull, Charlie Parr, Kitchen Dwellers, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country, The Lowest Pair, Yasmin Williams,
Joshua Ray Walker, Them Coulee Boys, Kyle Tuttle, Rainbow Girls, Henhouse Prowlers, Big Richard, The Last Revel, Pixie and The Partygrass Boys, Barbaro, Sicard Hollow, Feed the Dog, Stillhouse Junkies, Mama Said String Band, Wild Goose Chase Cloggers, Jason Dea West, Buffalo Galaxy, The Foxgloves, and Black River Revue. And there are more artists still to be announced.

Minneapolis-based Pert Near Sandstone will again be the host band for this year’s Blue Ox Music Festival and will play during the event.

There will be three stages, and both afternoon and evening shows topped off later jam sessions that extend into what some folks consider the early morning hours..

It’s always family friendly, featuring fun activities like a 9-hole disc golf course and family stages.  In the midst of the music, there are instrument workshops, a wellness tent with yoga and meditation sessions, and art to enjoy. Food vendors and others festival  vendors selling clothing, jewelry and more will be set up, and there will be many choices of beer, liquor, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages available as well.

The Pines Music Park encompasses 120 acres of wooded camping surrounding the festival stages.  Spots are available for both RV’s with hook-ups and tent camping spots.  There are also plenty of nearby motels.
