Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of Surge and the Swell’s song “Hard Work,” from their very recently released album Offering (available as of March 4). Offering was co-produced by Aaron Cabbage, Adam Levy (Honeydogs), Isaac Levy, and Noah Levy (Peter Frampton).
Hard work is Aaron Cabbage and Katie Gearty on vocals; Matthew Kirkwold on guitars; Isaac Levy on bass; Noah Levy on drums; and Kevin Gastonguay on keys.
The video script and production is courtesy of Aaron Cabbage; with Olafs Creative Studio co-producing and creating. The video has real entertainment value, with contemporary art placed in montage with clocks and mirrors indicating the passage of time and capturing moments past and present, in a bustling cityscape. Surge and the Swell kick a great rhythm while paying tribute to hardworking folks everywhere, and they do it with lasting, commemorative style.
I hope this song and video are some comfort, or at minimum, an acknowledgement of the Hard Work done over the last few years by restaurant workers, nurses, janitorial staff, and others under difficult circumstances. I wish I could buy them all a 5 AM cup of coffee. — Surge and the Swell
