Jason Isbell w/Amythyst Kiah — Ryman Auditorium 10/19
It was an honor to be able to experience and document a night of Jason Isbell’s series at the Ryman. Isbell played a total of 8 shows at the Ryman throughout the last couple weeks. Each show, a different artist opened and on October 19th it was Amythyst Kiah. She played a killer set, with rock tones and incredible talent. By the end of her set, every audience member was on their feet. It was one beautiful Ryman debut for Amythyst Kiah.
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit: a must-see show. Jason performs with such honesty, humility, and gratitude. It is a special experience to hear his one of a kind songwriting and authentic sound live, especially at the Ryman. He’s an artist that is brave and in turn, inspires his listeners to be brave as well. The crowd buzzed all night long. It was apparent how much Jason’s art means to everyone that was there. Many audience members stood in awe, hand to their heart, and took it all in.
Jason expressed his gratitude for being able to play music in front of real people again, and to be able to do so safely. It’s magical to gather and celebrate music together with others. I’m grateful to Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit for allowing us to do that safely. Night 4 of 8 at the Ryman was one to remember!
