Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Ryan Kinder’s song “Jane” from his upcoming album Room To Dream set for release on July 30. Room to Dream was produced by Ryan Kinder and Luke Sheets, engineered by Chris Diener, mixed by Sean Moffitt and Dave Clauss; and mastered by Georgetown Mastering.
Musicians on Room to Dream are Ryan Kinder on vocals and guitar; Will Harrison on guitar; Reed Pittman on keys; Adam Cunningham and Calvin Knowles on bass; Mario Telaro on drums; Luke Sheets, Kevin Bard, Paul DiGiovanni on programming; and Luke Sheets, April Rucker, Kristen Rogers, Jenn Bostic, Clare Dunn, Fred Wilhelm, and Brandon McDonald on vocals.
“Jane” was co-written with Josh Osborne and Ross Copperman. This is a clear, loving foot-stomping song buoyed by catchy bright music.
When Josh, Ross and I got done with half the verse we knew we were onto something really cool. Ross claims that he loved the song so much he named his daughter Jane after it. We did this very quick ‘day of’ demo and it just felt right every time I listened to it. It felt like getting too tricky would be the worst thing we could do with production. One thing Sheets really loved about producing this one was using a real accordion. We’ve never done that before. — Ryan Kinder
