Video Premiere: Devil Love “Better Better”

Listen & Watch Video Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this video premiere of Devil Love’s song “Better Better,” which will be released on April 16th via Red on Red Records.

“Better Better” was recorded by Matthew Girard at Revolution Sound Studios, Charlestown MA; mixed by Matthew Ellard; and mastered by Jeff Lipton and Maria Rice at Peerless Mastering, Boston MA.

The song is Peter Buzzelle on vocals and guitar; Ken Rothman on guitar; Jason Raffi on bass; Chuck Ferreira on drums and percussion; and Josh Cohen on keyboards and guitar. Devil Love rocks with alternative punctuation and soulful lyrics. I’m not here to make you feel better, they say, but maybe they provide a platform for cathartic release.  Listen and decide.

“Better Better” is about longing and thinking that the grass could be greener somewhere else, but you’ve lost your way forward and feel the pull of a memory of what used to be. With this video, we wanted to have a bit of fun. The band had the idea of a building with windows into peoples’ lives. In our current times, we liked the concept of isolation while still connecting with each other Through a shared thread–the music. Visually speaking, the video attempts to capture the transition from a type of monochromatic style, gradually building in color and vibrance to suggest a dawning of new (and potentially, positive) perception and awareness. – Peter Buzzelle
