Video Premiere: Clint Roberts “Amarillo”

Listen & Watch Video Premieres

Americana Highways presents this video premiere of Clint Roberts’ song “Amarillo” from his recently released album Rose Songs.  Rose Songs was produced by Ben Fowler; engineered by Ben Fowler and Ryan Yount; recorded at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, and mastered by Richard Dodd.

“Amarillo” is Clint Roberts on vocals and solo acoustic guitar on this live performance video.  The video was filmed and edited by Jarad Clement.   Pull up a seat and let images of the lonesome gnarled tree and tears in a chapel over a fatherless child roll over you like the spring rain, and enjoy the songwriting of Clint Roberts.

“Amarillo” served as a meditation on guilt as I was writing it. I wanted to channel that meditation into a western aesthetic, and I found the chord progression I was working with inspiring for that purpose. I enjoyed the open ended narrative that allowed for the listener to place themselves within the story, reflecting on their own regrets or missteps in life.  — Clint Roberts
