Video Premiere: Jesse Brock “Kiss On A Cold Cold Stone”

Listen & Watch Video Premieres

Americana Highways is pleased to host this video premiere of Jesse Brock’s song “Kiss On A Cold Cold Stone” from his forthcoming album Streamliner, due out this summer on Sound Biscuit Records.  Streamliner was co-produced by Jesse Brock and Dave Maggard.

“Kiss On A Cold Cold Stone” is  Jesse Brock on guitar, mandolin & harmony vocal; Greg Blake on lead vocal; Barry Reed (Lonesome River Band) on bass; Russ Carson (Ricky Skaggs) on banjo; Josh Swift  (14-yr. tenure w/Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver & now The Isaacs) on resophonic guitar; Felicia Mikels on tenor vocals.

The video was produced by Dave Maggard and directed by Jacob Dean of DF Production Services.  There might not be any more chilling set of references than mandolins and banjo, a graveyard, and barbed wire.  Add to that a song of death and mourning, and there’s no escaping the cathartic release Jesse Brock and the band delivers.

We shot the video in less than 4 hours in freezing weather at the historic Alder Branch Cemetery in Sevierville, TN. Headstones dated back over 100 years ago. Hit songwriters Louisa Branscomb and Geri Byrd wrote the somber tune back in the 70s. I was lucky to be the first artist to record it. – Jesse Brock
