There’s no beating around the bush here for the Imaginaries, they bring the devotion from the opening harmonies. “We only get one life, we only get one chance” pinpoints all of our hopes in this day and in this lifetime. It’ll make you want to open your windows and sing out loud along with them.
This song is a reminder to live each day to its fullest and to be thankful for what we have. Loss and hardship are things we all experience. We want listeners to know whatever they are going through, they are not alone. We just never know when our time will come, that’s why it’s so important to love and live like there may be no tomorrow. Our hope is that this song provides light and warmth to those who hear it. The song was inspired by the loss of Shane’s dear friend Connor Hicks. — Maggie McClure
