Video Premiere: Anna Larson “American Dream”

Listen & Watch Video Premieres

Americana Highways presents this video premiere of Anna Larson’s visual song “American Dream” from her forthcoming visual EP Cocoon. The album was written, recorded, and produced by Anna Larson with remote mixing and production by Britton Beisenherz at Ramblecreek Recording, Austin.  It was mastered by Erik Wofford at Cacophony Sound with cover art by Julia Larson (age 10).

“American Dream” is Anna Larson on vocals, piano, and acoustic guitar; and Mikey Best on drums.

The video was produced and edited by Anna Larson with public domain images courtesy of Pond5 Public Domain Project, and Pexels Public Domain Collection.  Inspired by an innovative idea, Anna Larson has created a visual EP.  The concept of Cocoon is also eminently resonant right now. Listen to the song “American Dream”  and get drawn in to the wonders of the cocoon.

My corner of the universe has become my cocoon: sacred, safe, beautiful. A cocoon is a place of growth, but it’s not a permanent place- eventually the cocoon serves its purpose and the tennant has to move on. These songs – though quite different than the full band album that was in the making- came along to make sense of the place we’re in right now. We’ll learn, we’ll observe, and move forward to what we’re meant to be. — Anna Larson
