Americana Highways presents this premiere of Amelia White’s song “Fighting.” “Fighting” was produced by Dave Coleman at “Howard’s apartment Studio” in East Nashville Tn; and mastered at True East Mastering by Alex McCollough. The song is Amelia White on acoustic guitar and vocals; Dave Coleman on electric guitars, bass, and backing vocals; Chris Benelli on drums and percussion, with Molly Thomas, who recorded the violin and viola remotely from “Blueprint Studio” in Point Clear Alabama.
Amelia White uses her unique vocal intonation to reach across the aisle in this plea for friendship and peace on this one. Her songwriting furnishes authentic tales that bring home observations of human significance, and for that, any listener will be grateful.
In “Fighting” I wanted to express that our words of hate, and impulsive actions in anger and frustration ripple out into the Universe, and into our own minds. I have found myself fighting everyone and everything in my mind over this last year of the political circus. Peace has to start with me and then it carries over to everyone I come into contact with. The need to be right has become less important to me than the need to bring people together. — Amelia White
