Song Premiere: Amanda Anne Platt and the Honeycutters “There May Come a Day”

Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Amanda Anne Platt’s song “There May Come A Day,” from here upcoming EP.  “There May Come A Day” was produced by Amanda Anne Platt; engineered by Evan Martin and Clay Miller. Amanda Anne Platt is on vocals and acoustic guitar; Evan Martin is on piano on the track. There is a frailty wrapped in the bravery and hope in her vocals and the overall song here.  Give it a listen.

“There May Come A Day” is an older song I’ve been kicking around for a long time, it’s a bit of a thorn in my side that seems to make more sense to me as I get older. It’s about hope, ultimately, which is an entity that seems to be varying supply lately. This was just a demo I had made with my guitar, but as I listened back to it there was a fragility about it that I didn’t want to tamper with. Evan put some sweet, haunting piano on it and we left it at that. — Amanda Anne Platt
