Americana Highways brings you this exclusive premiere of DL Marble’s song “One Line at a Time,” the title track from his upcoming album produced by Eric “Roscoe” Ambel, due to be available in your hot little hands on September 16.
The album personnel is DL Marble on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Eric “Roscoe” Ambel on backing vocals, electric and acoustic guitar; Roger Singleton on electric guitar; A.D. Adams on drums and percussion; Paul Williams on bass and Gigi Dixon on keys.
Engineering was courtesy of Mario Viele, and the album was mastered by the inimitable Richard Dodd.
Flanked by Eric Ambel and Marble’s seasoned compadres, DL Marble musically soars to rock ‘n roll heaven on this one. But even better, the songwriting has that ubiquitous gut wrenching simplicity that literally everyone can understand. Especially now. “All have become a story line just like these … it’s the lines on the mirror, the lines on my face, killing myself one line at a time.” Marble deserves his rightful place in every contemporary Americana songbook. Turn this one way, way up.
This one came out of Mexico after one of our adventures finished in in San Diego … it’s a portal on how I’m livin’ — DL Marble
