Video Premiere: Valentina Sounds’ “For Both of Us”

Bring on the Fire was engineered and mixed by Matt Muir; mastered by Ryan Schwabe; and recorded at both Retro City Studios (Philadelphia PA) and Kawari Sounds Recording Studios (Wyncote PA). Bring on the Fire is Valentina Sounds on lead vocals, piano, keyboards, acoustic guitar, and backup vocals; Matt Muir on percussions and squeeze box; Erik Johnson on drums and percussions; Kevin Hanson on electric and acoustic guitars; Jim Stager on electric and upright bass; Sara Mingle on backup vocals and Adam Flicker on organ.

“For Both of Us” on the album is Valentina Sounds on lead vocals, acoustic guitar, and backup vocals; Matt Muir on percussions; Kevin Hanson on electric and acoustic guitar; Jim Stager on upright bass and  Sara Mingle on backup vocals.

The video footage was recorded on location at the Episcopal Academy Carrafiell Theatre; with light design by Laura Patterson; camera work by Sara Mingle; and it was directed by Valentina Sounds and Sara Mingle, with editing by Valentina Sounds. With gorgeous colors and a spacious stage to support a spacious song, this video will draw you all the way in.  Valentina Sounds’ latest work will fill you with hope.

“For Both Of Us” is one of my personal favorites on the album, tracking it was effortless and everyone who played on it loved it, I think you can hear the love through the sound waves. A funny story attached to the song: there’s a line of a verse that says “I’ll be alone, in case you change your mind.” During my CD release show in Italy, I had a family friend shout loudly at the end of the song: “You’re not serious about that, right? Enough is enough! Don’t get back with that guy!” . I reassured her that I was definitely done with him. — Valentina Sounds
