Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Jared Rabin’s song “Lift Me Up” from his forthcoming album No Direction, due on March 27. No Direction was written, recorded and produced by Jared Rabin. The drums were recorded at Rax Trax Recording. The album was mastered by Rick Barnes at Rax Trax Recording. “Lift Me Up” is Jared Rabin on vocals, banjo, harmonica, bass and guitar, with drums by Jordan Kozer, and background vocals by Ren Patrick.
“Lift Me Up” is a roadtrip back through 1970’s vocal styles with contemporary banjo and electric guitars, and the result is an warm and delicious musical stew. Give it a listen!
“Lift Me Up” is a song about feeling jaded and bogged down in a rut that you can’t see your way out of, and wanting a change of perspective. or wanting to somehow see yourself and your situation from afar (or above) to get a better understanding. –Jared Rabin
