Americana Highways brings you this video premiere of Hymn For Her’s “Dingle Town,” which appeared on their recent release Pop and Downers, which was produced by Vance Powell. “Dingle Town” is Lucy Tight and Wayne Waxing; and the video was produced, directed, editing by Hymn for Her.
With rockin’ banjo and rousing guitar, Hymn For Her captures the essence of the Celtic-Americana connection. The video is a real treat too, interspersing gig footage with intriguing landscape road trip imagery.
We were on a three month European tour with our daughter and roadie. We arrived at Dingle in the evening. We all slept in the back of our small van and I woke up at the crack of dawn, looked out at the shimmering sea of diamonds and wrote this poem. The music tumbled out like the rolling green hills all around us. It was a perfect Irish day. I wanted to remember it always. — Lucy Tight
We finally made it to Ireland, the home of my ancestors, and it was truly magical. Everyone sings, everyone plays, and everyone cheers. I jumped right in. We stumbled upon Dingle and got quite Merry. — Wayne Waxing
