An American in Texas was originally released in 1980 and now, 39 years later, Omnivore Records is rereleasing it on vinyl, CD, and digitally. The original 12-track album is supplemented by a 25-track CD which includes eight tracks from Six • Twenty Six • Seventy Nine, which was originally available only on cassette, plus five never-before-released live and studio tracks.
