Video Premiere: Pozzi’s “Losing You to Gravity”

Listen & Watch Video Premieres

Americana Highways presents this video premiere of Pozzi’s “Losing You To Gravity,” a harbinger of Pozzi’s debut album, due out later this year.  The song was produced, engineered, mixed, mastered by Frankie Siragusa, and co-produced by Pozzi.  “Losing You to Gravity” is Pozzi on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Julia Laws on backing vocals, Tim Despic on piano, Emily Elkin on cello, with Frankie Siragusa on drums, percussion, bass, and glockenspiel.

The video was directed and shot by Pozzi and Jessica Amento, and edited by Pozzi.  Acoustic guitar and layered stringed and percussive instruments rally around the Nebraskan highway footage in this languid song about loss.  Pozzi’s album is sure to make its mark on many hearts and minds this fall, make a note of it.

“Losing You To Gravity” is a song about love, loss and finding comfort and beauty in the unknown. The great tragedy we all must face one day. I shot the video in Nebraska and Iowa as it’s referenced in the lyrics and also to capture the Midwestern landscape, the rolling fields of corn, the clear skies, the humble towns. Time sort of stands still there and there is something timeless about the sentiment of this particular song. I chose black and white as a homage to the album cover for Springsteen’s “Nebraska,” and also the wonderful film “Nebraska.” — Pozzi
