Kyle LaLone “Make My Own Way”
Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Kyle LaLone’s song “Make My Own Way,” the title track from his forthcoming album set for release on June 12th. The album was produced by Kyle LaLone; engineered and mixed by Mark Rains; and mastered by Whynot Jansveld, with cover photo by Paul Cozzi and design by Kyle.
“Make My Own Way” is Kyle LaLone on lead vocals and electric guitar; Brian Whelan on background vocals; Adam Arcos on bass; and Matt Lesser on drums and percussion.
Kyle told us a bit about this song: “This song began with the title, like several others on this record and my previous releases. I was at my kitchen table thinking about something I had to do that day and feeling indecisive. I already had the title and started writing a verse about what I was thinking and feeling. After that verse was finished, I felt it would lead well to a chorus which presented a solution for indecision. The themes of resilience, trusting your gut, and charting your own path are important to me and are revisited at other times throughout the album. That is why I chose ‘Make My Own Way’ as the title track.”
Setting up against the coolest of cool grooves, this song touches that part of you than knows you’re on your own, and are your own pilot, underneath it all. Whether you’re out on your own or feeling hemmed in, it’s equally true.
