Sherri Harding “Money Man”
Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of Sherri Harding’s song “Money Man” from her forthcoming album Storyland, which is set for release June 5. It was recorded at Audio Valley Recording Studio in Ottawa, Ontario; and mastered by Chris Bethea.
“Money Man” is Sherri Harding on lead vocals; Kelvin Holly and Robert Farrell on guitars; Clayton Connell on keyboards; Brian Cooper on bass; Jamie Holmes on drums; Rob Holtz on percussion; DeeDee Butters, Mackenzie DeMillo, and Sherri Harding on background vocals; and horns by The Muscle Shoals Horns featuring: Charles Rose on trombone and horn arrangements; Steve Herrman on trumpet; Brad Guin on tenor sax; and Jimmy Bowland on baritone sax.
This video was created by Christopher Cooper.
As Sherri says, “’Money Man’ is really about trust — and how scary it can be to put your faith in someone to do the right thing. Christopher Cooper created this great lyric video. I really think he captured the message perfectly.”
Upbeat horns set the context for this song about that guy. You know the one, he’s helping you make money when you are looking for ways to make cash and make it last, and evidence of his being rich is everywhere. There’s just a touch of the jitters in the lyrics underneath the sunny skies the music brings.
