July Moon “Devil Walkin'”
Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of July Moon’s song “Devil Walkin'” from their forthcoming EP set for release later this year. The EP was produced by Clint Wells and recorded at The Smoakstack in Berry Hill, Tennessee. “Devil Walkin'” was co-written by Piper Bateman, Braelyn Watt, Cassidy Daniels, Marti Dodson, and Vanessa Olivarez.
“Devil Walkin'” is Piper Bateman, Braelyn Watt, and Page Mackenzie on vocals; Sam Wilson on electric guitar and pedal steel; Billy Justineau on organ, piano, and synth; Rachel Loy on bass guitar; Clint Wells on electric and acoustic guitars and percussion; and Drew Willoughby on drums and percussion.
As July Moon tells us, “We’re thrilled that Devil Walkin’ is finally being released since it’s a song we’ve been performing live for years and it always goes over so well at our shows. The song truly encompasses July Moon. It’s got a ton of strong harmonies, it’s sassy, and has a lot of rock and roll elements. We’re excited to show this side of July Moon’s sound to the world!”
This cheeky song radiates an instant classic timelessness with tight harmonies and a rock ‘n roll vibe bordering on rockabilly. Automatic fun in a song, with a vocal and instrumental depth that will undoubtedly hold your attention.
