Slow Burn Drifters “The Divide”
Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Slow Burn Drifters’ song “The Divide” from their forthcoming album Golden. It was produced by Ray Vale, mixed by Ray Vale and Martin Biegger, and mastered by Dave Gardner at DSG Mastering.
“The Divide” is Ray Vale on vocals, guitars, and bass, Violet Booth on Moog, and Jack Irons on drums and percussion.
As Ray Vale tells us about the song, “True isolation is a mindset, and deep down, I believe we want to break free from it.”
Slow Burn Drifters’ songs reflect a depth of terror and isolation that is reflected in the most deeply moving literature. Heavy and dark but with a piercing authenticity, “The Divide” is gripping and eminently relatable. Ray grew up in New Jersey but now resides in Austria in the presence of the Alps, which are immediately humbling as they are inspiring and remind us of human’s place in the immensity of the cosmos. The richness of the landscapes has found and echo in these songs. Listen to “The Divide” and see for yourself.
