Steve Boyd “Scattered Down the Road”
Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of Steve Boyd’s song “Scattered Down the Road” from his recently released album King of the Loners, which was produced and mixed by Steve and mastered by Alfonzo Garcia of Arctic Dog Records in Lima, Peru.
“Scattered Down the Road” is Steve Boyd on guitar, harmonica and drums, and he also sang vocals.
This video was created by Tall Pines Productions in Thomasville Ga. It’s incomprehensible why there’s such violence and upheaval in the world, when the alternatives of peace could be so beautiful. It’s hard to know what to do, as an individual, to help. Steve’s attempt is this compassionate song with photos of Ukraine and Ukranian refugees just trying to keep moving. It captures a quiet dignity in an unbearable circumstance. “I will hold you in the darkness in the winter in the cold, god knows the nights are lonely when you’re scattered down the road.”
As Steven says, “The Russian invasion of Ukraine created the largest refugee crisis since WW2. My heart weeps for those lives shattered, and this song and video is about them.”
