Wormy “27 Days”

Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Wormy’s song “27 Days” from his forthcoming album Shark River, out  on Jan 16th via Rose Garden. Shark River was produced by Renny Conti. The song was written by Wormy, aka Noah Rauchwerk.

“27 Days” is Noah Rauchwerk on vocals and drums;  JR Atkins on electric and acoustic guitar; Ned Steves on bass; and Renny Conti on samples and electric guitar.

This video was directed by Noah Rauchwerk. The video is a peek into film making process from a meta-level, and continues on to be a bit of a voyeuristic reality show of someone who had a relationship on a brief trip away from home, and the reflections on what that glimpse into another possibility feels like, and what it means. The song is very introspective, and with Noah’s uniquely vulnerable and emotionally sorrowful vocal delivery, the message of the impossibilities and false pathways that life presents us is clearly delivered.

As Noah tells us, “I wrote this about a short lived relationship I had when I was far away from home. It’s about getting on a plane and flying back to your life after a glimpse into another one. Logistics can really just mess something good up really easily. It’s also about how maybe certain relationships only ever feel right because they aren’t logistically possible.”
