Infamous Stringdusters “Light at the End of the Day”

Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of  The Infamous Stringdusters’ song “Light at the End of the Day” from their forthcoming album 20/20, which is set for release on January 23 via Americana Vibes.  The album was produced by The Infamous Stringdusters; recorded by Colin Bricker and Loren Dorland at Mighty Fine Productions in Denver and by Aaron Youngberg Swing Fingers in Fort Collins, Colorado. It was mixed by Billy Hume at The Zone and mastered by David Glasser at Airshow Mastering in Boulder. Executive producers on the project were Ivory Daniel, Kevin Zinger, and Hillary Clinton.

Musicians on “Light at the End of the Day” are Andy Falco on guitar; Chris Pandolfi on banjo; Andy Hall on dobro; Jeremy Garrett on fiddle; and Travis Book on Double bass.

This video was directed and edited by Jack Gould at Ninja Video Production with Craig Babineau as the second shooter.

As dobro player Andy Hall tells us, “I really wanted to write a song of hope for this record. At a time when things can seem strange, scary, and dark, I wrote this for myself more than anything. It speaks to how, when you’re feeling down, the night can be the toughest time. When everything is quiet and you’re by yourself. This song tries to reassure the listener that there’s always someone you can reach out to in those tough times. A light in the darkness.”

In the video, footage of the band with the feeling of sunrise in the sunlight washing over them is timeless and there’s a certain comfort in it. The strings play with a flow that’s both nimble and easy. This song is pure and buildup to a genuinely positive outlook and a chorus that sounds great, especially right now: “there’s a light at the end of the day.”
