Jackson Scribner “Train Song”

Americana Highways presents this premiere of Jackson Scribner’s song “Train Song,” which was co-written by Jackson, Levi and Clint Scribner, from Jackson’s forthcoming album Depression Kids, set for release Sept 19. The album was produced, mixed, and engineered by Stuart Sikes, with
additional engineering by Jerome Brock and additional production by Levi Scribner. It was recorded at Consolvo Studio, and mastered by Dan Coutant of Sun Room Audio.
“Train Song” is Jackson Scribner on lead vocals, guitar and keys; Levi Scribner on harmony vocals, guitar and bass; Jeff Ryan on drums; Jerome Brock on guitar and keys; Kim Herriage on pedal steel; Tony Hormillosa on bass; Frankie Leonie on harmony vocals; and Scott Davis on harmonica.
Jackson tells us, “I really wanted to have my own version of a train song. What mattered most to me was writing it with my dad and my brother, Levi.” The guitar playing on this song is thoughtful and mellow as the song touchingly unfolds. There are dreamscape vocals echoed gently by the easy pedal steel, in a reflective, relatable song about being a drifter through this life.
