Tyron Benoit – “Raining in Kentucky”

Americana Highways brings you this video premiere of Tyron Benoit’s song “Raining in Kentucky” from his forthcoming album Mid City, which is set for release on September 26. The album was produced by Don Markowitz; mixed by Neal Cappellino; and mastered by Bruce Barielle.

“Raining in Kentucky” is Tyron Benoit on vocals, guitars, and some accordion; Doug Belote on drums; Don Markowitz on bass; and Shane Theriot on guitars.

This video was shot by Michael Brouphy, and the video features Benoit’s horses – all having fun and stealing the show! The song is a soul searcher about being away from home, having confusion and wondering about life choices, and ultimately, just wanting one thing: “It’s raining in Kentucky and I just want to get back home.” On top of a relatable song, the video itself with footage of Tyron playing in his barn with his horses gathered around, is charming and worth the watch all on its own.

Tyron tells us this song is “A descriptive narrative of the loneliness of the road, when away from home, or the one you love. It’s a narrative set in the hills of Kentucky, in the cold fall season. It’s an inner perspective that always asks you to question why, when the circumstances you find yourself in are not where you want to be. And the thoughts of a better place continually fill your mind, inspiring you to keep on, to finish what you started, because better times are just ahead.”
