Ian James Bain “Willow”

Americana Highways is hosting this video premiere of Ian James Bain’s song “Willow” from his forthcoming EP At Your Service. The album was produced and engineered by Aaron Goldstein, and mastered by Philip Bova Shaw.

This recording of “Willow” is Ian James Bain on vocals and guitars; Doug McBrien on pedal steel; Robert Lee on bass; and Zander Lamothe on drums.

The video was created by videographer Taylor Wallace. Clear and easy, this recording of the song is an instant reflective daydream, and Ian’s vocals are rich and soulful as the song gently rocks. “I always thought you’d be there at the end” pierces straight through to the gut, for anyone who has lost someone, and that has to be just about everyone.

The EP At Your Service centres around ‘Willow,’ a sad song about losing sight of the things most important to me and nearly losing it all. As a songwriter I am most proud of this song. There’s a million sad country songs out there but this one still rings true and hits hard when I play it. – Ian James Bain
