Part roadhouse blues with power harmonica and part boogie rock, this band rocks while groovin’. It’s a laid back ode to something most of us can relate to – the daily grind. Turn it up on your drive home. The video makes the band look like they are on a movie set, it’s an excellent watch while you listen.
“Workin’ Man” is for anyone who works for a living — basically, everyone I know. The original inspiration came from my Dad. He drove a UPS truck for 35 years, often leaving before I went to school and returning after I was already in bed. He did that to give me and my sisters a great childhood, and he still makes sure we’re taken care of. America was built by people like him. I wrote this with my buddy Dustin Bothwell, who is not only one of the best writers I know but also one of the hardest-working guys I’ve ever met. He really helped me keep it authentic and avoid over romanticizing the idea of working. It’s about a guy who works hard because he has to, but takes pride in what he does — even if someone else reaps the benefits of his labor. Long live the workin’ folk. – Mose Wilson
