John McTigue III – ”Falling in Time” (with Kenny Vaughan)
Americana Highways presents this video premiere of John McTigue III’s song ”Falling in Time,” co-written with Kenny Vaughan, from John’s forthcoming album Never Too Late, which is set for release on July 11. ”Falling in Time” is John McTigue on drums and Kenny Vaughan on guitars. This video was created by Joshua Smith. This is an instrumental with an intense groove and gripping electric rhythmic feel and it’s fabulous. The chemistry here is palpable. The video is a trippy work of art.
”Falling in Time” – This is a song Kenny Vaughan and I wrote in the studio based off a drum groove I was fooling around with. I got the beat off of a Kenny Burrell record called Midnight Blue with a track called the “Chitlin Con Carne Strut.” I swung the feel, and we wrote the song on the spot in the studio – improvising is something I’ve always enjoyed doing live in the studio. – John
