Sam Robbins “So Much I Still Don’t See”

Americana Highways presents this premiere of Sam Robbins’ song “So Much I Still Don’t See,” the title track from his forthcoming album, set for release on April 25. So Much I Still Don’t See was produced by Seth Glier; engineered by Jake Subin; mixed by Andrew Oedel; and mastered by Kevin Butler. It was recorded at Ghost Hit Recording, in Springfield, MA.

“So Much I Still Don’t See” is Sam Robbins on lead vocals and guitars; Halley Neal on backing vocals; Seth Glier on piano; and Reed Sutherland on bass and piano.

Gorgeous, cascading acoustic guitar playing sets the scene, as the lyrical protagonist is in a grocery store, recalling classic stories from childhood, superheroes, and over and over again the refrain: “there’s still so much I still don’t see.” After years on the road passing by people and passing through spaces, Sam reflects that there’s still so much that’s unknown. That’s what this song taps into with a sweetly reflective quality.

“So Much I Still Don’t See” is my favorite track on the album. So much of the album is written in the form of little moments from the past few years of touring – moments that caught my eye or ear, just little everyday stories that make up our lives. The title track is the culmination of that idea. The more I’ve travelled, the more people I’ve met from different areas and cultures, I can see how little I know. – Sam Robbins
