Daryl Mosley – “Everything That’s Right”
Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Daryl Mosley’s song “Everything That’s Right” from his forthcoming album Long Days & Short Stories, which is slated for release on October 4 via Pinecastle Records. The album, his fourth for Pinecastle, was produced by Daryl Mosley and Danny Roberts, and recorded at Gorilla’s Nest Studio in Ashland City, Tennessee.
“Everything That’s Right” is Daryl Mosley on vocals and bass; Danny Roberts on mandolin; Tony Wray on guitar and banjo; Jamie Harper on fiddle; and Jaelee Roberts and Jeanette Williams on harmony vocals.
Bright and shiny instruments – violin chasing banjo chasing mandolin – support this sunny optimistic song declaring gratitude for your blessings: “whatever you are looking for is probably what you’ll seek. … I can’t help but smile as I look around and notice all these big and little blessings God is raining down on me.” It’s very reassuring and a valuable song in this era.
I have to limit myself with watching the daily news cycle. It can be overwhelming at times. The song is just a reminder that whatever we consume will fuel our lives. I think it makes for a more peaceful existence if we spend less time focused on all that’s wrong in our world and look for the good things, the things that are right. – Daryl Mosley
