Eric Bibb – “Make a Change”

Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Eric Bibb’s song (co-written with Glenn Anthony Scott) “Make a Change” from his forthcoming album In the Real World. In the Real World was produced, arranged, mixed by Glen Scott with executive producer Jesper Wikström. It was engineered by Katie May and Glen Scott with assistant engineers Ben Koch and Faye Dolle; additional engineering by Taylor Pollert, Robbie McIntosh, Esbjörn Hazelius, and Chris McGreevy; and mastered by Larry O’Malley of Audiobec Canada.

“Make a Change  is Eric Bibb on lead vocals and acoustic guitar; Glen Scott on bass, percussion, electric guitar, synths, and backing vocals; Paul Robinson on drums; Robbie McIntosh on electric guitar and slide guitar; and Emilia Franklin on backing vocals.

“Gotta be a change in the way / We teach our children / Gotta stop lyin’ ’bout the past / Face the music / Tell the truth, spread the word / Best advice I ever heard.”  It’s true, this is some profound, vital advice, delivered over Eric’s signature soft rootsy blues.  It’s a heartwarming sample of the album to come.

Thematically, it’s about the you-me-we connection. It’s about the world we’ve created for ourselves and the world we long for. – Eric Bibb
