Sarah Pierce – “I Wanna Go Home”

Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Sarah Pierce’s song “I Wanna Go Home” from her forthcoming album Blessed By The West, set for release on September 13. This song will be available on August 16th.

Blessed By The West was produced with musical arrangements by Merel Bregante and Sarah; primarily recorded at The Cribworks Digital Audio in Liberty Hill, Texas; engineered and mixed by Merel Bregante; and mastered by Jerry Tubb at Terra Nova Mastering. Graphic design for the album was done by Randy Lewis Brown.

Musicians on “I Wanna Go Home” are Mike Dorrien on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, gut string guitar, and baritone guitar; Mark Epstein on bass, fretless bass, and arco bass; Pete Wasner on Steinway Grand  piano, Hammond B3 and Wurlitzer; Dave Pearlman on pedal steel and dobro; Cody Braun on fiddle; Jon Chandler on harmonica; Merel Bregante on drums, percussion, and background vocals; and Sarah Pierce on vocals, background vocals, and acoustic guitar.

With her alto vocal tones and a low fiddle, Sarah’s homage to the spaces and places of the West that she knows as home is expansive, rich and most importantly, powerfully human.  Red dirt, the rising sun, the feel of her own saddle, those particular trees, the Rio Grande and more are all exalted in a way anyone can relate to no matter where they’re from.

Living on the ranch is a gift for me. The livestock, wildlife, and the land, make all the work worthwhile. Anytime that I am away, I just wanna go home. – Sarah Pierce
