Lolly Lee – “Sweet Alabama Home”
Americana Highways brings you this video premiere of Lolly Lee’s song “Sweet Alabama Home,” from her self-titled album released earlier this year. The album was produced by Anthony Crawford and Lolly Lee; recorded and mixed by Anthony Crawford at Admiral Bean Studio in Loxley, Alabama. It was mastered by Eric Conn at Independent Mastering in Nashville.
“Sweet Alabama Home” is Lolly Lee on acoustic guitar and vocals; Anthony Crawford on acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, keyboard, violin, and drums; Savana Lee on backing vocals.
The video was directed and edited by Jay Stern with cinematography by Alan McIntyre Smith and special thanks to Courtney Lanter, Jody Garrett, and Cole Lanter. Folks appearing in the video include Al Boba, Jane Boba, Anita Butler, David East, Liam East, Sarah East, Scarlett East, Jody Garrett, Peter Jezewski, Courtney Lanter, Glover Moran, Lillian Scott, Anya Willson, Evie Wedgeworth, Michael Willson, and Michael Wedgeworth. Lolly sings praises to the great Southern landscapes and southern symphonies of Alabama: “Your soft top, your laughter, the kind of love everybody’s after.” A pretty homage with a catchy beat and sweet guitar and fiddle, punctuated by poppy Southern harmonies.
From the Gulf of Mexico to the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Lolly Lee is proud to call Alabama home. Her newest video, “Sweet Alabama Home” shows the natural beauty of Alabama and the joy of gathering friends and family. It was filmed at the lovely Elysian Gardens in Avondale, Horse Pens 40 in Steele, and at Jody Garrett’s farm in Springfield including Canoe Creek lathered with wild azaleas that were just starting to bloom. It’s only a small glimpse of how beautiful Alabama is. – Lolly
