“Bourbon and Beyond” is Bringing More Beyond in Its Sixth Year

Kentucky music, bourbon, and culture festival, “Bourbon and Beyond,” is celebrating its sixth year this fall over four days on September 19, 20, 21, and 22. The “World’s Largest Bourbon & Music Festival” is held at the Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Danny Wimmer Presents, the country’s largest independent producer of destination music festivals, has added two stages and 40 artists to the event, bringing the tally to five stages and 100 artists.

The lineup is robust and varied spanning genres like country, classic rock, Americana, indie, and bluegrass. As if the music wasn’t enough to keep you going, Bourbon and Beyond is also highlighting the best bourbons on the market with daily tastings and showcasing Louisville’s top chefs and cuisine.

The headliners over the four days cannot get any bigger than Zach Bryan, Dave Matthews Band, Tyler Childers, and Sting. The lineup also touts acts such as rapidly rising roots superstar Sierra Ferrell and country rocker Koe Wetzel, Americana up and comer Vincent Neil Emerson, pop rock queen Meg Myers, new-grass staple Yonder Mountain String Band, country rock legends Whisky Myers, indie pop group Young the Giant, and need no introduction The Beach Boys. There is literally something for everyone, and even after reviewing the lineup at least 30 times, I am still finding more of my favorite artists hidden in the flyer.

Original Thursday headliner Neil Young had to cancel his appearance due to health concerns, but 17-time Grammy winner, Sting, is now joining the already jam-packed lineup. “While we will miss Neil Young at Bourbon this year, we’re excited to welcome a music legend, Sting, to the Bourbon & Beyond lineup. We’ve been trying to bring Sting to Bourbon for you since 2018 and it’s an incredible honor to have him join us for what will undoubtedly be our biggest and most unforgettable year ever.” – Danny Wimmer, Founder of Danny Wimmer Presents.

The festival is highly anticipated in the city every year for its contribution to the local economy and appreciation of the arts, “Louisville has become a top destination for music festivals,” says Cleo Battle, President and CEO of Louisville Tourism. “Events like Bourbon & Beyond continue to solidify that growing reputation attracting new visitors to Bourbon City and giving them not only a taste of a world-class event but also exposing them to the city’s Southern hospitality, iconic attractions and Bourbon’s home.

Bourbon and Beyond will take place at the Highland Festival Grounds at Kentucky Exposition Center at 937 Phillips Lane in Louisville, Kentucky September 19th-22nd.
