Heart of Pine – “Voodoo Leg Bone”
Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Heart of Pine’s song “Voodoo Leg Bone” from their forthcoming album Southern Soul Revival. The album was recorded at Japanski Studios. It was produced by Matt Tamisin & Heart of Pine; and mixed and mastered by Mitchell Phillips. “Voodoo Leg Bone” was ritten By Steven Bagwell, Travis Richardson, and Michael Hood.

This video was animated by Adrian Venti. With a blended of psychedelic Southern rootsy setting, Heart of Pine is all grooves as they tell this dark campfire tale. The chilly electric guitar runs will leave an impression of tingles down your spine as much as the story surely will.
I was camping and hunting on the Flint River in the fall of 2022. After a few drinks, we took the side by side out to check deer stands. I found an old leg bone laying in the woods. I picked up the bone and looked at my buddy and jokingly said, ole voodoo leg bone laying in the woods. One evening at practice, we were doing an improv jam and I started freestyling about a voodoo leg bone. We sat down and wrote it out the next week. – Travis Richardson
