Evan McMillian – “Another Truth”
Americana Highways brings you this premiere of Evan McMillian’s song “Another Truth,” from his forthcoming album For A Dreamer. The album will be available on August 2. This song will be be available on June 7. For a Dreamer was produced, mixed and recorded by Jacob Tippey at Candyland Recording Studio in Dayton Kentucky. Some additional production was provided at the Martini Church in Cincinnati OH. It was mastered by Mike Montgomery.
“Another Truth” is Evan McMillian on vocals and acoustic guitar, Dan Dorff Jr. on piano, Matt McCoy on upright bass, Aaron Cordell on drums, and Jacob Tippey on synth. Thoughtful acoustic guitar provides the baseline for this folk song that spells out an acknowledgement of mortality: “day in and day out I walk down my sidewalk… neighbor are confusing … it’s just another truth to overcome these days.”
The person in this song is coming to grips with the reality that he doesn’t have much time left, yet he realizes it’s inevitable. It was inspired by an old man I knew. – Evan MacMillan
