Roanoke – “Back Again”

Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of Roanoke’s song “Back Again,” due to be released via Kill Rock Stars this week.  The song was produced by Roanoke and Richard Bennett; engineered and mixed by Crain Alvin and Richard Bennett;  recorded at Noble Steed and Outgo South Studios; and mastered by Shelley Anderson. This song was co-written by Taylor Dupuis and Joey Beesley.

“Back Again” is Taylor Dupuis on vocals; Joey Beesley on vocals and electric guitar; Richard Bennett on bass, vocals and keyboard; and B.L. Reed on electric lead guitar; and Justin Holder on drums and percussion. Roanoke really packs a power punch and then soars above the clouds with vocals that conjure Fleetwood Mac’s heyday. A real show stopper.

“Back Again” marks a full circle connection with the hook driven rock and roll music both Joey Beesley and Taylor Dupuis grew up loving.

Though we do plan to continue our journey into Lo-fi indie rock, “Back Again” is a hard look into the past which brought us to where we are as a band. We took a deep dive on this one, and the growing experienced during the recording of Back Again is equal to the experiences touched on lyrically.  – Roanoke
