A Tale of Two

Song Premiere: A Tale of Two “Chicago Lightning”

Listen & Watch Song Premieres

Americana Highways is hosting this premiere of A Tale of Two’s song “Chicago Lightning.” This song is part of the duo’s self-titled EP, which is scheduled to be available on September 17. The record was produced and mixed by Roger Alan Nichols, engineered by Geoff Piller and mastered by Richard Dodd.

“Chicago Lightning” was written by Aaron Lessard and Stephanie Adlington.  Musicians on the song are Stephanie Adlington on vocals, Aaron Lessard on guitar and vocals; Eamon McLoughlin on fiddle and mandolin; Dave Jacques on bass; and Caleb Crosby on drums and percussion.  The whine and grit in this duo’s vocals are gripping and noticeably timeless. Some really catchy great slide and acoustic charms round out the song quite nicely.  It’s a quality throwback anthem you’ll be glad you pressed “play” for.

Who says you can’t write a storyteller song that makes you dance? Chicago Lightning is an anthem for 1920’s prohibition life, bringing modern Americana to a timeless tale. Recorded live (in-studio) in Nashville, TN. — Aaron Lessard
