When quarantine broke out in March 2020, musician/filmmaker/neighborhood centerpiece Scot Sax decided it was time to start profiling the immense road seasoned talent suddenly surrounding him full time in his east Nashville neighborhood. With touring abruptly transformed into a non-option, Sax opened his lot for musicians to come perform a piece of music in ways that didn’t involve their own bedrooms and smartphones. “I love my east side community and wanted to offer whatever I could to help keep the artistic juices flowing,” he says. You can’t keep these people off the road, even if it’s only a left turn and a couple of roads away from their own house.
