Video Premiere: Michael Bernard Fitzgerald “Good Plates”

Listen & Watch Video Premieres

Americana Highways brings you this video premiere of Michael Bernard Fitzgerald’s song “Good Plates,” from his album Love Valley due out on October 9th. Love Valley was engineered by Josh Rob Gwilliam; produced and mixed by Josh Rob Gwilliam and Michael Bernard Fitzgerald; recorded at OCL Studios Calgary, C & F Systems Memphis & Blackbird Studios Nashville’ and mastered by Brock McFarlane at CPS Mastering.

The album version of “Good Plates” is Michael Bernard Fitzgerald on vocals and guitar; Lyle Molzan on drums; and Art Edmaiston on sax.  The video is Bernard Fitzgerald solo acoustic, and was created by Brock Davis Mitchell with sound by Josh Rob Gwilliam.  Set in gorgeous hillside setting, the video is aesthetically meditative as it even captured early morning bird calls.  The idea of “getting the good plates out” strikes an immediate chord of the “special occasion” homecoming entertainment that we all miss right now.

I wanted to describe simple but great moments with this record. ‘Good Plates’ is about hosting friends and family – celebrating, making a special occasion out of an evening. I love the concept of getting the good plates out with someone, that little detail says a lot.

I think we all aspire to host more evenings like this, especially this year – the idea of hosting loved ones sounds overdue. –Michael Bernard Fitzgerald
